First time customer,
Terrible Customer Service. She was dismissive and made minimal effort to help me, and no effort to show my business was important. Situations arise from time to time, and I will roll with it. This is especially so when I feel my problem is being addressed.
I had also joined Team Bud's to make my purchase, but that doesn't seem to get you any additional help.
The order has been canceled, and I've lost $30 on a Team Buds membership.
Made several successful transactions with Buds. Spent a lot of money. Then one transaction went bad and that was enough to write complaints about Buds. An order of ammunition was lost by UPS. I was home at the time of the supposed delivery and there is no way anyone else stole the order. I checked all around the neighborhood for a mistaken delivery, but no go.
Immediately contacted both Buds and UPS. UPS started an investigation and sent an email. Since then I can not get a word out of UPS about the missing order other than they send the tracking numbers by email.
I had purchased the extra shipping insurance so figured Buds would take care of things. Wrong. Buds ignored my three emails, so I tried calling. A very nice customer service representative said the issue would be immediately investigated and Buds would be contacting me shortly about my claim. No word.
I called and spoke with another customer representative. He didn't even bother to ask my name or the order number. Just told me I had to wait. I asked to speak to someone else and the representative became very rude and refused. I continued to ask for someone else who might be interested in helping me. He refused and started yelling at me on the phone. Told me there was no way he could transfer me. I waited him out and was finally transferred to someone who identified himself as the Shipping Manager. He listened to my concern, and stated he had someone looking into the matter with UPS. Further indicated he would get back to me. I asked about the insurance I had purchased. Was told that only applied while the package was in transit and was damaged or lost. I said again the package was lost. Was then told the insurance didn't matter because UPS said the package was delivered. Appears the extra insurance is a rip off.
Anyway, time has passed and no word from either Buds or UPS on the missing package. It now appears Buds blames UPS, and UPS blames Buds. Neither is going to do anything.
Time to stop all business with Buds. Would like to do the same with UPS, but the shipping vendor normally determines what shipper they will use. So now moving on to filing a complaint with my credit card company and see if they will help.

Well it seems that Buds has gone away from customer service to just plain "they don't care". There was a time they actually cared about their customer but no more....but I degress. So I ordered two 10 rd CZ mags and they put the order on hold to verify my purchase????? What is that....so I called and they gave me the "we just wanted to be sure it was you BS...really? Wouldn't an email do as good I have to call? So they supposedly released the order...but wait another email your order is on hold for verification.....no buds my order is cancelled....
Buds Gun Shop as most others are taking advantage of the consumer during this difficult time. The prices are clearly way more than most other shops .Shop around do not buy just for the old reputation buds had . If you look you will find a cheaper price .this has been going on ever since covid has hit , this shop needs boycotting.
They HAD me as a Loyal Customer right up to the point they sent me magazines that did not fit the pistol I ordered (at the SAME time with THEIR help), and they refused to Refund, Return, or Exchange them. For $55 in magazines, they LOST $2,000 a year in business. They'll survive, but NOT with any more of MY money in their pockets.

If I could give Bud's ZERO stars I would. This is the second time I have ordered something and then they say they do not have it in stock. Last time I was called a liar by several customer service reps. Poor customer service!!!
I placed an order today, 01/11/2021, and was having it financed. Bud's sends me an email wanting me to contact them about a Sig M-18 pistol in my order. Apparently they sold me something they did not have again so my entire order is cancelled. Now they have banned me from placing any orders. Bud's is not worth dealing with anymore and their greed is ungodly. If you're not a "Bud's team member" or a "Qualified Professional, then you can forget getting a fair chance at the most popular firearms. Then there are their layaway fees, credit card fees, and the non cash discount price. You are better off going somewhere else and buying from a company with some honesty and integrity!!!
I am done with Bud's Gun Shop, sick and tired of the B.S. and the way they manipulate the market.
I look forward to the day when the FTC and BATFE shut the current owners down.
Long gone are the days of the original owner Bud and his once great company.
I have no problem getting lawyers involved if Bud's wants to make the mistake of calling me a liar about all of this.
BTW: They ignored their own policy of an "out of stock" item when using their "finance company".
I would give this 0 stars if I could. I purchased several firearms from them. On my most recent purchase I picked up from my local FFL and I went home with a defective gun. I reached out to customer service and was told that it is non refundable/returnable and to call the manufacturer. I will find a retailer with better customer service for future purchases.
Slow slow slow shipping I just did my first transaction with Buds and let me tell you it will be my last. Worst company I have ever done business with! Grab a gun and CDNN are so much better at logistics and you will actually get your product shipped in a timely manor! Just horrible
I have did business with Buds for years but no more , i know things are bad with all thats going on . Today i went to the Tennessee store. They ask me $28.00 for a box of wolf 9 mm. ammo this is nothing but price gouging . Never thought i would ever see Buds do this . they also ask me $ 289.00 for a Ruger 1022 rifle . I left the store and went to Rural King and bought Armscor ammo for $12.00 and bought the same rifle for $ 239.00. This is nothing but price gouging they are taking advantage of people in a bad situation this is not right . Please stay away from this company .
Bud's Gunshop is Guilty of taking peoples credit card information charging 10's of thousands of people simultaneously and under pretense of availability of certain products like ammo tie up 1000's of credit cards with temporary balances to provide them selfs with basically what know as a 3-5 business day INTEREST FREE Bridge Loan ........ They then use this capital to purchase and maneuver overhead and inventory only to later charge you more once they have successfully outbid others using other peoples or YOUR MONEY....
Just purchased 4 x Mec-Gar MGPT9215 Magazine for Taurus PT92/99 9mm Blued and received them in 5 days through FedEx. All in good condition. I will give them 5-star for now. Have not yet used their customer services for any issues. Will update my rating until then.
I used to buy items from Buds Gunshop online. All but one of my encounters with Buds has been good. My good reviews were always posted. Buds declined to publish my last review without telling me. This is a clear indication of their integrity. Below is a review that I sent that they never posted. Read it...if you think Buds is unreasonable for not posting it, you may want to think about the reviews that they never let you see. Is that they kind of company that you want to do business with?:
I bought this based on the online reviews that claim this is a Sig P226 clone of like quality. The gun also met all my requirements and looks great...all metal, hammer fired with a decocker which allows it to be used safely in a variety of ways. It can be loaded cocked and locked like a 1911, or loaded and decocked to function like a double action revolver for the first shot, and then single action thereafter.
In this age of fake news, one can expect fake reviews. I disagree with the Youtube reviews on the trigger, the overall finish quality, and the affect of its high bore axis.
First, the trigger is much better than the reviews give it credit. I agree that the double action is heavy, but based on how it fits my hand, it does not affect my aim and follow through. Second, the finish has flaws; there are grinding marks on the outside of the barrel, and parts of the slide look like it was painted. Third, it may have a relatively high bore axis, but I did not notice a difference when I compare it to lower bore axis guns.
The biggest drawback to this gun is its takedown operation. The slide must travel beyond the slide lock, while the takedown lever is pushed to 7 oclock position with your right thumb. It can be done, but it is not easy or pleasant.
This chunky handgun is about the thickness of a 2x4, so you will need to consider that if you use it for carry. In summary, this is a great shooter, with some drawbacks. I am satisfied with my purchase at the price I got it, but I would not buy it again for the prices that they are now listed for...$100+ over MSRP.
I have been a Buds customer for a couple years. My recent experience with Buds was disappointing...poor customer service, losing my gun in shipment. Buds is not what it used to be, but they have increased their prices.
